Home Ed Basics

The Home School - Est. 2020

The Home School has been providing advice to home educating parents since 2020. Before this, Founder, Amanda Simone BSc. Hons PGDipLaw, worked with the family-run DRAM Education Consultancy (est. 1992) to help primary aged children and families get the most out of their school education. We still work closely with DRAM, but have grown into a small independent consultancy of our very own, dedicated to the UK home education community - that includes you!

Some things have changed since this video (filmed 2021) but the Home Ed basics and guidance remains the same, and remain super useful for families new to home education.

The Home School UK - Here to Help

Choosing to home educate can be overwhelming. Without support families can feel isolated, uncertain about how to provide 'suitable, efficient and full-time' education leaving them unsure where to begin or how to progress. Information and advice available online can be inconsistent, outdated or difficult to navigate - but it doesn’t have to be!

Watch our 2021 video above, read about how The Home School UK (THS) can help you then fill out our contact form or book a free call to get support with perfecting your own home education journey.
